Due to the capacity of the aircraft fuel tank and also because of huge size of
the aircraft special mechanisms are needed to refuel the aircraft. Special vehicles
with proper elevation tools need to be employed to refuel the aircraft. But the
problem that is faced is that the coupling of the hosepipe refueling the aircrafts
often breaks loose. This can happen due to the slightest movement in the vehicle,
to which the hose pipe is attached. This leads to the spilling of the aircraft
fuel thus increasing the operational costs. Also many a times a situation occurs
when unaccounted fuel goes into the aircraft. This ends up creating a situation
in which there is no accountability of the fuel that was actually exhausted. Solution
Parasnath using its sensors and switches developed a mechanism that minimized
the losses suffered due to spillage of fuel and over filling. Parasnath developed
a system in which even a slightest movement in the hose pipe resulted in stoppage
of fuelling process. Automatic brakes would be applied to the hosepipe which would
ensure that the hose pipe is no longer getting the supply of fuel. So even if
the coupling of hose pipe breaks loose, no spillage of fuel would take place.
The system also sends an audio video signal to the operator of the vehicle indicating
that the breaks have been applied. To prevent the problem of unaccounted fuel,
Parasnath developed a signaling mechanism which ensured that no extra/unaccounted
fuel ever goes into the aircraft. The fuelling would not happen till a proper
signal is received. If there is no signal then no fuelling ever takes place. Also
before the fuelling takes place the mechanism ensures that the count meter is
in the correct position to measure the actual amount of fuel that was filled |
